Playing With My Camera - San Diego Zoo

I bought a new toy for my camera--a telephoto zoom lens! After the power outage on Thursday (more on that later),  I spent some time enjoying the fresh air and lack of crowds at the zoo. I wanted to see how close I could zoom-in to the animals. Turns out, pretty close!

Here are some of my favorites:

I just bought a membership, so I hope to visit my zoo friends more often for regular portrait sessions. :)

Holy crap, these photos are amazing, Mo! I love the San Diego Zoo, and the Wild Animal Park. I haven't been to either of them in forever. Can't wait to see more of your zoo adventures!

Amazing photos, Mo! It's like all those animals were posing just for you!

(And do you ever do the whole zoo in one day? Once I tried and I came home exhausted.)

Thanks for all the sweet comments! This is a fun new lens.

@Brandi: I spent 5 hours there with my camera, and I think that's the longest amount of time I have ever been there. I'm also really, really slow so if I'm not with other people I tend to take my time, hence the 5 hours of watching animals!
