Pretty in Pink was my favorite. Followed by Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
Oh, who am I kidding, I loved them all, even Sixteen Candles which unfortunately had the character of Long Duk Dong in it!
Rest in peace.

such sad news :( his movies are true classics, i always watch them when they're on!
I always loved the Breakfast Club the most, but Pretty in Pink was amazing too.
John Hughes did so much for teenagers, and everyone really.
sad....i love the breakfast club.
I was in high school when all those movies came out. I feel a personal loss now that Hughes is gone. All I know if that whenever I'm flipping channels and land on ANY of his movies, I watch. You know this is going to create a flurry of Hughes-a-Thons on TBS. I know what I'm doing this weekend....
sooo sad :( i can't even picture my teen years without him!
Such great movies!
Oh, but Blane was SO HOT. Oh Andrew McCarthy you are so cute.
It is tragic, he was such a recluse, I always thought John would come out of hiding and have some huge comeback.
@Mollie D: Ok, I admit, I swooned for him too, especially that scene when Andie tells him the computer trick was clever and he says "yes, terrible clever" and then chuckles a little and tosses his really clean perfectly coiffed hair.
But I think the best scene is Duckie's dance to 'Tenderness'. Classic. I can't believe Jon Cryer is in Two and a Half Men now.
whoops. TERRIBLY clever. =)
ooo, Pretty in Pink and Sixteen Candles were my fave. Such a sad loss.
Dude, Blaine was like the hottest guy of all time. Gotta disagree with you on this one!
