Wedding Magazines

[The boy's copies of Cell are being crushed by my collection in the living room.]

Aside from the occasional Martha Stewart Weddings, I have stopped purchasing wedding magazines and have been relying on blogs for my inspiration. I still however have a mountain of magazines that I inherited from a friend, and they can be seen in the living room, on the bookshelf, and on my desk. Basically if a stranger came into our apartment, it wouldn't take much to figure out that we are engaged. Especially when I have this written on our chalkboard.

Did you ever purchase a lot of wedding magazines? Or do you find them to be a waste with the same ol' content?

If i were getting married, i think i will buy some magazines but do most of my sourcing online.
To answer your question: Yes, i made a snow globe! (it's only a tiny one and it's so easy to make, will post it on my blog sometime this week, so watch out!)

Hi I too am getting married but no date set yet. It will be very small, me and my fiance. I have one book, there is not really a lot to organise for this one I guess. the perils of a troublesome family (not mine) lol.

and congrats to you!

My stack keeps getting "moved" from the coffee table, to under the TV to the garage and then they disappear...

I can't stop buying them! I am addicted and my planning is almost done. :)

Haha--I'm already overwhelmed by them. I like Real Simple Wedding. PS: I love that they're on top of multiple copies of "Cell." It really offers balance. :)

I love Martha Stewart but tend to stay away from others. Personally, I have found a lot of 'new' material in the MSW magazines, whereas I feel like a lot of the other magazines repeat one another.

Ugh! I still have all my wedding mags too! I used both the web and the magazines as resources. about 6 or 7 month to the wedding I couldn't even look at another magazine or wedding blog. They both drove me crazy! itsheavenly.blogspot.com

Before I became obsessed with wedding blogs, I bought a heap of wedding mags. My favorite was always Martha Stewart. The others just became annoying, as they were filled to the brim with ugly wedding gown advertisements and very little actual content :)

Wow... that's a lot of magazines!! I've bought maybe 4 wedding magazines so far and funnily enough, I've not touched them yet! Hooked on wedding blogs instead.
